Reverse sear t bone steak the professional way. Preheat oven to 2750f.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees f.
How long to cook t bone steak in pan.
Sear the steak for 2 minutes for the first side.
Cook until it reaches the desired doneness.
Transfer the steak to cutting board and cover loosely with foil.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees f.
Reduce the heat slightly and cook the t bone for 7 minutes.
Place the steak into the skillet and cook until its easily moved.
Pan fry the steak until it develops a golden brown crust flipping frequently about 4 minutes.

Place steaks on a wire rack over a baking sheet.
Pat the meat dry and rub a little oil over it.
Lower the heat to medium.
Add minced garlic butter and fresh rosemary.
Preheat a large cast iron skillet over medium heat.
This takes between one and two minutes.
Rub the steak with cooking oil on.
Season with salt and pepper.
Pat steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
Cook for 30 seconds and then begin moving the steak around occasionally pressing slightly to ensure even contact with the skillet.
Place baking sheet on the center rack of the hot oven.
Transfer steak to a plate or cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Place the seasoned steak into the heated frying pan and allow it to sear for seven minutes.
About 12 hour before cooking the steak bring it to room temperature.
Place your steak in the grill pan and place the pan on the top rack of the preheated broiler.
Lightly brush the steak all over with oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
Add the butter and herbs if using.
Remove the steak from the refrigerator and bring it to room temperature which takes about 30 minutes.
Transfer the steak to a preheated oven at 4250f 2180c.
Half an hour before cooking take the steak out of the refrigerator.
Continue cooking flipping the steak occasionally about 8 minutes for medium rare 120f to 125f on a meat thermometer and 10 minutes for medium 130f.
Flip the steak and allow it to continue searing for four minutes.
Remove and let steaks rest for 5.
Remove the t bone steak from the pan when it registers 140 degrees fahrenheit on a meat thermometer.
Carefully flip the steak placing it in a different section of the skillet.
A half hour before cooking remove steak from refrigerator.
Pan frying for one or two people.
For rare close the door and allow it to cook for 4 minutes before opening the door and flipping it to cook for another 4 minutes on the other side.
Add oil to hot skillet and when it begins to smoke.
